For this painting I took inspiration from Greek legend in which the renowned painter Zeuxis entered a competition to paint the most realistic representation of reality, when he revealed his painting birds tried to peck at the grapes after being fooled by his mastery of illusionism, he won the competition.
Painting can be about entering another world where anything is possible, the artist creates illusions to make this new reality believable.
